My Repurposed Life is hosting a blog hop where people will look at your blog and offer comments and helpful hints. I joined. Of course, being me, I didn't put my name on my blog. I should learn to read instructions before I do things. Anyways, hopefully I am doing this correctly. Here goes:

I see you're here as well! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, if i may, i only have 1 tip for your blog... :)
If you add some labels to your posts, it will help us find specific crafts and posts that you've posted here, allowing us to browse your site much more easily. It's very handy! Let me know if you need help with this, if you want to implement it (i think i remember how to do it..hehe. :)
Hi Vicky!
ReplyDeleteI live in small town Canada too! I have one small suggestion and that is to have your blogs archived posts on the side bar so people can browse past posts that way.
I look forward to reading more of your blog :)
Vicky! thanks for linking up and adding the blog hop code to your site!
ReplyDeleteYou must be fun girl! :) your site is a little on the wild side (not that there's anything wrong with that) :)
I suggest that you move your followers above your blog list.
I think you might want to remove your Christmas pledge button.
Please consider allowing many more posts on the page. It's difficult to scroll when you have to keep hitting older posts.
personally as a visitor, I'd rather see an "archive" of your posts than a label list. (if you only use one) There's room to have both.
Lovely family! I would like to see you put your about me (the text) on the front page. Visitors in a rush, would love to know more about you at a glance.
I know I've blasted a lot at you, please take it in the "helpful" way it is intended.
I'm only an email away if you need any help.
I hope this blog hop party is an enjoyable experience for you and you get lots of great feedback!

ReplyDeleteI had to change your link to point directly to the blog hop post.
I think I noticed on another post that you do link parties. Most bloggers will delete you if you link to your blog url instead of a specific post. (people will land on a post months from now from a link party, so they need to land on the "right" page.)

Coming over from the hop :) I really like your background choice and think it would be really cool if your text colors were matched up to coordinate...maybe a dark purple instead of the bright blue?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely add some labels or popular posts sections on your sidebar :) We'd love to see more of your posts!
Your love of energy and a true vibrant soul comes out with your little blog. Thank you my dear for linking up to our little hop. My gentle suggestions are to try out a single sidebar. With all the goodies you have, I find my eyes not wanting to miss a thing...but sometimes it causes me to miss your actual post. Try it....if not just for a tad...plus this will allow you the real estate to expand your main content and pics...even bonus! Also...try centering that GORGEOUS pic of you and your love. I think that would add a smashing touch to a blossoming blog.
ReplyDeleteOnce again these are just gentle thoughts. I know that taking a risk and putting yourself out there is very scary, but you should feel so proud and empowered. I hope that you are not a no-reply when dealing with comments. I always love being able to respond to my bloggers. Also...if you need anything, Gail and I would love to help. Just let us know what we can do. :)
Have a great week, and I hope this is the beginning of seeing more of you in the little blog world. :)
Cheers~
