About a year ago, I saw a picture on Pinterest, where someone had glued fabric to their nightshade. I, of course, had to jump on the bandwagon. The material I bought was black and white, and I took a fuschia sharpie and coloured in some squares.
I love my black and white room, with the pops of pink and fushia all over. For the longest time, I have been looking for a better light fixture. The one I have is nice (I found it on the side of the road), but it is a little boring for my tastes.
I really want to put it in my downstairs foyer. Anyways, I have been searching high and low for a giant drum shade type fixture, with enough character to wow me. Today, I stopped into Goodwill and found a $6.06 dream shade
It is HUGE and almost the exact same pattern as my shade. I am in love!!! Out came the fushia sharpie.
I love how it turned out. Now, I just need to buy an old chandelier, paint it black, and hang this baby over top of it. However, that is for another post. Stay tuned!!

Me too Millie. I love having a home that isn't cookie-cutter. That's what makes it a home.
